Jon Kingston

Jon was born in Chinchilla and grew up in agriculture on grain, cattle and sheep properties across the Western Downs and Maranoa. This background has given him a strong understanding of regional Queensland, its communities and the challenges of operating businesses in regional markets.

Prior to real estate, he built a career with Westpac and Suncorp, ultimately specialising in agribusiness banking. As a Portfolio Banker, he managed more than $100 million in lending relationships, developing extensive experience in financial analysis, risk assessment, business performance and commercial decision-making.

He has also undertaken property developments and subdivisions across Toowoomba, Dalby, Chinchilla and Miles and previously owned a civil construction business. This included Kingston Park, a 55-lot residential subdivision in Dalby which received industry recognition through the UDIA Queensland awards.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Southern Queensland, double majoring in Accounting and Banking & Finance. He is a Fellow of the REIQ and a member of the Australian Institute of Banking. He has also contributed through consultancy and committee involvement with GRDC, AgForce and UDIA Queensland.

His professional interests include corporate governance, strategy, financial management, risk and compliance, professional standards and regional economic development. He values considered decision-making, accountability and constructive leadership, and believes strong industry organisations must remain genuinely connected to the members and communities they represent.

Outside of Real Estate, he is married with four children.
